This year, on September 12th, 2015, thousands will walk 25 kms through the streets of Toronto, united, knowing that together they are changing the future for all those affected by this terrible disease. Funds raised support the critical work of the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre and their efforts to end cancer in our lifetime. Itís OneWalk, on one day, for all cancers.
The Ride to Conquer Cancer
During one incredible weekend, June 13-14, 2015, thousands of men and women will rally in Toronto and Niagara Falls to cycle 200+ kilometers with a united goal of conquering cancer in our lifetime. It will be the eighth annual Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer in Toronto benefiting the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, one of the top 5 cancer research centres in the world. Last year 5,212 participants raised $20 million.
Tour for Kids
This annual summer cycling adventure will take place in August. Participants cycle in beautiful Ontario, travelling 100 to 200km per day in 1, 2 or 4-Day events. Tour for Kids raises funds for childrenís cancer camps and family support programs, and remains the premier cycling event in support of children living with cancer. Remarkably, 100% of funds raised go directly to improving a child's life.
Wellspring Halton-Peel was established to meet the needs of people coping with cancer in Oakville, Mississauga and surrounding communities. The centre welcomes more than 13,000 visits from men, women and children annually. Wellspring offers a wide range of cancer support programs and services, and funds raised through Ladies Out Laughing 2015 will support their Exercise program.
